Lasagne

1 lbground beef
1 Tbspolive oil
1/2 cloveGarlic
1 medium, finely choppedonion
1/4 tsp sweetbasil
2 (6oz) cansTomato Paste
4 (6oz) canswater
to tasteSalt
to tastePepper, Black
12 oz carton, sm curdcottage cheese
1 lb, gratedmozzarella cheese
1 Tbsp, finely choppedParsley
1/2 c. shreddedParmesan cheese

Serves: 4 people

In large skillet, brown gr. beef in oil. Add garlic, onion, sweet basil, tomato paste, water & salt & pepper to taste. Simmer about an hour, stirring occasionally.

Mix together with spoon, cottage cheese, parsley, mozzarella.

Lightly grease large baking dish & spoon in enough meat sauce to cover bottom; top with strips of lasagne; spread with part of the cheese filling. Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce. If desired sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake 350 degree oven for 30-40 min. Let stand 5-10 min to set layers.

This can be prepared the day before & refrigerated. When ready to use, let stand at room temp about 1 hr, then bake 1 hr at 350 degrees.
